About Me
I have always had a passion for puzzles of all kinds. It’s one of those stereotypes about autistic people that I admittedly fit right into. Growing up, I would put together big puzzles in my family’s basement, separating pieces into different categories that made sense to me, and putting them together as I went. I learned to take that curiosity in examining shapes, colors, and patterns to understand how they fit together and transferred that into building skills to better understand my own mind and the minds of others.
People have always been deeply interesting to me. How we work, what makes us tick, why we become the people we become, how we work together, and even how we don’t—these are complex and nuanced factors of life that have an undeniable effect on me. It’s as if a gravitational force grabs hold of my desire to understand and pulls me in. This has brought me here today.
I collaborate with my clients to find what works for them, at a pace that works for them, and in a way that works for them. Your goals, perspectives, and preferences may change along the way, and that’s okay. All of that is welcome and accepted here.
I strive to bring my authentic self wherever I go. To me that means that I show my curiosity, weirdness, thoughtfulness, creativity, and support to those around me. Outside of therapy, I like to dance goofily, hang out with my spouse and our cats, make odd art, nerd out about psychology, talk with friends, listen to music, and cook when I have the time.
